That`s a really good idea. I was not sure about mixing sessions across both programmes, but using KK as a transition to CF sounds smart to me. As a masters athlete myself I have exactly the...

Re: Modifying KK's program for 100m

Back to first principles. Why modify a 400m programme for 100 ? Perhaps CF plan is best for 100/200 and KK is best for 400 and we should stick to those principles.

if a 100/200 guy lacks some...

Should have been 7x30 + 4x100. That`s less than 9x100 and you might have spotted the discomfort coming.

    Re: Stefanie's

Repeat day 5 for at least another 2 days. But with addition of say 4x100, then 8 x100. take a rest day. Then go for 16-24x100 - this is a pretty tough protocol unless you get there via a progression....

Dont see why heat disipation is relevant to a sprinter - 5K and upwards yes. But never seen a sprinter overheat/dehydrate.

    Pakewi,
How do you find the relatively high volumes of tempo affect sprinting speed. Is it applicable to 400m runners, but perhaps too high a volume for 100/200 types ?

I used to run 800s in the 2.21 to 2.30 range. Managed 62-64 secs for 400m at the same time. But coming off a background of endurance running (10k etc) so lacking pure speed. I agree with the idea of...
