Nutrition for multi-event meets
just wondering as to what are the best sort of foods/drinks to consume throughout a day of competition where i would be competing in a number of events. A typical day would be 200: 11am, 100: 2pm, 400: 3pm, however, there are guys in my team who would be competing in distance/field events. Do nutritional protocols for competition differ for these events?
e.g. would a sprinter consume more protein based foods (liquid meals etc.) to help replenish CP stores whereas a 3000m runner look at consuming more carbohydrate?
