More Tempo Alternatives
On a visit to see Charlie in December, I was able to see him put an athlete through a treadmill tempo workout.
The sprinter was mid 10 100m level.
For each speed level, take 100 steps on the treadmill:
After each 100 steps, the athlete performed abs and other exercises on a mat right next to the treadmill. The treadmill allowed it to stay on while the athlete as on the floor. I have heard some models stop once the person is out of range of it's sensor. For those, I would guess just re start it everytime, or if you have a partner, have them stand on the side rails to keep it on.

I remember doing this with him..Gosh seemed like such a long time ago..alot tougher than I imagined.
