Speed and Power Conference November 14th to 16th andCoach Ian King November 29th and 30th 2014 Toronto Canada

I’ve recently posted a notice about 2 different events happening in Toronto, Canada.

One is a Speed and Power Conference happening November 14th to 16th 2014 and you can learn more here. http://www.athleticsalberta.com/news/2014/09/2014-canadian-national-speedpower-conference.

Two of the 3 featured presenters I have known personally and both were respected as coaches by the late Charlie Francis.

My other post was about Ian King of King Sport International. Ian will be presenting November 29th and 30th 2014 and more information can be found here.

Ian had a positive and unique influence on my professional life as a former elite athlete, turned small business owner.

If you are interested in athletics, coaching and/or the business of both, come and hear what some top of the field professionals have to share from their experiences.

Coincidently , Derek Evely (Canadian West Coast) , Henk Kraaijenhof, (Holland)  and Ian King (Australia)  are all non-Toronto natives but are travelling a long way from their homes to shed light on the business of training, coaching and unravelling any confusion you might have in speed and power sports.

Dan Pfaff is also presenting at the Speed and Power Conference and although I do not know Dan personally I have a few friends who have liked what he has had to offer.

If you have the ability to see any of these presenters I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Let me know what you think if you have the chance,

King Sport International November 29th and 30th 2014 Toronto Ontario Canada

October 22, 2014 by Angela Coon

Ian King changed the way I thought about how I did business.

I’ve always loved working, making money and I have especially enjoyed helping others learn what I know. Ian made all of this easier and more enjoyable once I learned what he had to offer.

It was not long after I had my son in 1999 that a friend of mine told me about Ian and the work he had been doing in the training world. “You gotta check this guy out Ange.” I was so glad I listened.

But Ian was not just a physical preparation coach. Ian was a business person who wanted to teach me and others how to effectively run my business. He wanted to teach each of us how to grow our business, how to understand the importance of trying to work differently and not just harder and it was Ian that drove home the idea that coaches fail to plan for their futures. I knew this better than anyone. I had been married to a coach for more than 10 years at that time.

I was in an unusual situation in that I was probably already more knowledgeable about training than the vast majority of people I might run across. Having knowledge is very important in anything but Ian effectively taught myself and others how best to make others learn what I already knew. Just because you know something does not mean you know how to effectively teach others.

Ian was the first person I had met that taught me how to think about leveraging myself and the business my husband and I had been building. I had already been wanting to start a website and I was getting pushed to get this done by the same person who had originally told me about Ian.   Ian encouraged both of us that we were on the right track.

I am looking forward to reconnecting with Ian, his wife and his family.

if you are in the health,  wellness,   fitness and or training business, I highly encourage you to take some time and check out what King Sport International has to offer you and your business.

I hope to see you there.

FYI This 2 day course will be a Level 1 , offered by Ian himself and supported by online material.
