CF Lecture Series : Rest & Recovery


Coach Charlie Francis discusses in this 40 minute white board presentation the use of active and passive rest in recovering.  Francis’s specific knowledge has been a resource for a multitude of strength and conditioning coaches, Professional sports teams and individuals across the globe.  Coach Francis’s experience as a former Olympic 100 meter sprinter (see Munich 1972)  ) and subsequently the  Canadian National Team coach  (from 1981 to 1988) allows him to masterfully share  knowledge  that has transformed developmental models for training elite sprinters across the globe. 

Coach Francis shows in detail when you need to think about resting, how much time is involved for the coach and athlete to set up this essential variable of training and what type of recovery methods are useful for what level of athlete.
